Our Story

Sophibooks is a small, family-owned local business founded in 2021 from our living room in Cedar Park. Since then, we’ve grown from a home-based venture into a bookstore in Lakeline Mall. Our founders, both former high school teachers, understand the challenges educators face in obtaining affordable books and are dedicated to making quality literature more accessible to the community.

Sophibooks was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to make books accessible to everyone in our community. Located in Cedar Park, Texas, we've become more than just a bookstore. We're a hub for book lovers, families, and anyone who believes in the transformative power of reading.

What started as a passion for collecting and sharing books has grown into a thriving community resource. We accept book donations from across the area and give them new life by offering them at affordable prices during our Fill a Bag sales, special events, and donation drives.

What We Do

We operate two stores side by side: one dedicated to toddlers, children, and preteen books. The other dedicated to teens and adults. This allows families to browse together while finding age-appropriate content for everyone.

Our signature Fill a Bag Sale happens the first weekend of every month, where customers can fill a bag with as many books as they can fit for just $30. It's the perfect opportunity to stock up on reading material, discover new authors, and support our mission.
