Reflections on the Gospel of John by Leon Morris Christian Biblical Commentary — Good
Description
Reflections on the Gospel of John Morris, Leon
Explore the Gospel of John with one of the great teachers of the New Testament, Leon Morris. Morris has spent many years lecturing, preaching, and writing about John's Gospel, and in this volume he expounds upon John's message in a captivating way. Morris weaves together notes on the historical background, comments on the Greek text, and discussion of the theology of John, along with contemporary illustrations and application. Rather than proceeding verse by verse, he comments unit by unit on the English text (his own translation of the original Greek). The tone of Morris's writing is devotional, but it is backed by the weight of scholarship. Originally printed in four separate volumes, this work is now available in one convenient, durable volume.
